Sin embargo, esta idea no podr\u00eda estar m\u00e1s lejos de la realidad. En realidad, cualquier boquilla de caudal fijo o seleccionable puede ser bombeada en exceso o en defecto, dependiendo del resultado deseado.<\/p><p>Por supuesto, es importante evitar situaciones extremas en las que la reacci\u00f3n de la boquilla sea excesiva o la presi\u00f3n demasiado baja. No obstante, existe cierto grado de flexibilidad a la hora de desviarse de los valores reales de caudal y presi\u00f3n.<\/p><p><strong>Ahora, profundicemos en este concepto.<\/strong><\/p><h3><span style=\"color: #333333;\">\u00bfQu\u00e9 es el factor K o valor K de una boquilla?<\/span><\/h3><p>El caudal nominal de una boquilla de litraje fijo o seleccionable indica simplemente la cantidad de caudal que suministra a la presi\u00f3n de base de la boquilla. Sin embargo, este caudal nominal no es un l\u00edmite estricto; permite un aumento m\u00e1ximo de 10% por encima del caudal nominal a la presi\u00f3n de base de la boquilla, en cumplimiento de la norma NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) de 1964.<\/p><p>Por ejemplo, una boquilla de 568 LPM puede suministrar entre 568 LPM y 625 LPM a su presi\u00f3n base nominal sin dejar de cumplir la norma. Para calcular este intervalo, determine 10% del caudal nominal de la boquilla y a\u00f1ada ese valor al caudal nominal. En el caso de una boquilla de 568 LPM:<\/p><p>10% de 568 = 56,8<\/p><p>568 + 56.8 = 625.8<\/p><p>El caudal y la presi\u00f3n nominales se indican mediante un factor K o valor K. Este valor determina el caudal a una presi\u00f3n dada o viceversa, la presi\u00f3n a un caudal dado. Puede encontrar esta informaci\u00f3n ilustrada en la curva de caudal, que se encuentra en los materiales de soporte t\u00e9cnico de su boquilla espec\u00edfica.<\/p><p>Determinaci\u00f3n del factor K de su boquilla<\/p><p>Encontrar el factor K de su boquilla es un proceso relativamente sencillo. Puede utilizar la siguiente f\u00f3rmula:<\/p><p>K = caudal\/\u221aNP<\/p><p>En esta ecuaci\u00f3n, NP representa la presi\u00f3n de la tobera.<\/p><p>Veamos un ejemplo con una boquilla de 568 LPM a 345 kPa:<\/p><p>K = 568\/\u221a345<\/p><p>K \u2248 28.48<\/p><p>Ahora, puedes tomar el valor K de 28,48 y multiplicarlo por la ra\u00edz cuadrada de 517 (que representa una presi\u00f3n de boquilla de 517 kPa). 28,48 * \u221a517 \u2248 654 LPM. Obtenemos este valor reordenando la f\u00f3rmula para resolver el caudal en lugar del valor K:<\/p><p>K = caudal\/\u221aNP<\/p><p>28,48 = caudal\/\u221a517<\/p><p>28,48 = caudal\/22,72<\/p><p>Caudal = 28,48 * 22,72<\/p><p>Caudal \u2248 654 LPM<\/p><p>Este c\u00e1lculo demuestra que una boquilla de 568 LPM a 345 kPa y una boquilla de 654 LPM a 517 kPa son esencialmente equivalentes, con s\u00f3lo una peque\u00f1a diferencia en LPM y kPa. Del mismo modo, una boquilla de 605 LPM a 345 kPa y una boquilla de 755 LPM a 517 kPa producen resultados comparables.<\/p><p><b>Aplicaci\u00f3n del valor K en el mundo real<\/b><\/p><p>Conocer el valor K puede ayudarle a determinar las presiones de descarga necesarias para distintos caudales en funci\u00f3n de las condiciones espec\u00edficas que encuentre. Si normalmente utiliza dos l\u00edneas de manejo de 568 LPM, conocer las capacidades de su boquilla le permite suministrar un caudal de aplicaci\u00f3n casi 25% superior si la situaci\u00f3n lo requiere.
